Animation: Developing immunological memory

Watch or download our animation, which explores the primary and secondary humoral response

This animation shows how the levels of antibodies change during the specific (adaptive) immune response that develops as a result of infection with a pathogen or following immunisation.

Each time the body is exposed to a particular pathogen, the antibody response becomes quicker, and more sustained, providing better immunological protection.
